Welcome to the Clement Cafe

My precious children spent yesterday planning, creating, and cooking.  While their daddy  and I were at work, they were busy turning our back patio into a cafe.  When we walked in the door we were greeted by the hostess, who politely insisted that we follow her to our table. She was so excited that she could hardly contain her enthusiasm...

Our table was draped with the sweetest green checked table cloth. The flowers, the handmade menus, and the reservation sign had all  been perfectly placed. The air was filled with the soft music coming from the cd player that had been removed from our oldest daughter's room and brought outside .

Our waiter, wearing shorts, a t-shirt, and a very nice sports jacket... came to take our order. (did I mention he was also barefoot)   He wrote down our order, returned into the house and the cafe manager/chef began to fill the orders.

While our food was being prepared the hostess provided entertainment by reading her original poetry. (poetry filled with lots of rhyming words.)  We were also given letters and cards from each of them ♥...  The food, the service, and the atmosphere all received a rave review. We were very impressed.

I do not know who was more blessed yesterday, the patrons of the cafe or the sweet hostess, waiter, and chef/manager, but watching my three children reminded me of a verse in the bible-

Acts 20:35 " ...It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”

My children spent yesterday creating, cooking and planning how to bless us. Their minds were not on themselves, but on how they could be a blessing and bring joy to us, but in return they were blessed. It is was a nice reminder...  sometimes we need to get our minds off of ourselves, our current situations, or problems  and plan, think,  and create how we can be a blessing to those around us.
