Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day Momma

For 41 years I have had someone in my life whose dreams for me were giant, whose love for me was unmeasurable, and whose heart was filled  with hope for my life... I spent many teenage years thinking just the opposite...(I assume lots of  teenagers do)

“When I was a boy of fourteen, my father was so ignorant I could hardly stand to have the old man around. But when I got to be twenty-one, I was astonished by how much he'd learned in seven years.” ~ Mark Twain

Then I had Caroline, Zachary, and Annie-Lauren... and my dream for each of them is giant, my love for them is unmeasurable, and my heart is filled with hope for their lives.

My pastor has more than once said that "Having a child is like carrying your heart outside your body and letting it walk around" I realize now how true that statement is... I also realize  that I am  your heart walking around outside your body.

My beautiful mom and me

Thank you Momma

  • Thank you for daily reminding me to respect my elders...
  • Thank you for teaching to be wise with my words.... they can heal or hurt.
  • Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for instilling in me the value of education
  • Thank you for teaching me that if it is worth doing, it is worth doing well.
  • Thank you for loving me just as I am
  • Thank you for being my number one cheerleader...past and present
  • Thank you for praying for me
Thank you Mimi

You are the best Mimi in the world. Caroline, Zachary, and Annie-Lauren are blessed beyond measure to have you in their lives. Thank you for loving them so well.
  • Thank you for all the hours you have spent teaching Caroline to sew, knit, crochet, and cook..
  • Thank you for fulfilling her 2nd grade dream of running through the Prairie♥
  • Thank you for introducing Annie-Lauren to "the wind" (Gone with the wind), not many 8 year old little girls would say their favorite movie is "the wind" She loves movie night and popcorn with you.
  • Thank you  for showing up at Zachary's basketball games. I know the only reason you are there is for could care less about the game.
  • Thank you for every time you remind Zachary (my perfectionist) that it is okay to make a mistake.
  • Thank you for insisting that they behave and have manners.
  • Thank you for getting just as upset as I do when I feel that someone has hurt their hearts... I usually have to calm you down which usually  calms me down. ☺
  • Thank you for cultivating in each of them the love of music and dance.
  •  Thank you for always being 100% supportive of our parenting decision, and on the very rare occasions that you have disagreed, thank you for coming to us privately and giving us wisdom that only that comes from being a grandmother.
  • Thank you for the times you tell me.. "Lisa, I know I did it that way, I was wrong... do that differently with your children."
So, Momma on this special day I would like to say I love you. You are and invaluable treasure to me. I know that you are gift from my heavenly father.... I love you. Have a blessed Mother's Day.
